“I really love this church. I love the people of SCC because they love hearing about Jesus!”
I’ve been married to Heather since 2006. Other than salvation, Heather has been one of the greatest gifts God has given to me. Together, Heather and I have three kids: Patrick is 4, Evelyn is 3, and Audrey was born on August 30. They are so much fun! I love to read, be with friends and family, and hit the gym. I grew up in a small town in New Brunswick and before coming to Summerside, I pastored in the Maritimes.
I did my undergrad at Crandall University. My thesis at Crandall focused on Old Testament narrative criticism. After that, I earned an M.A. (New Testament studies) from Acadia University, and then a PhD in New Testament studies from the University of Pretoria. My dissertation focused on the narrative structure of the book of Mark. It was published in March 2018 by Wipf & Stock and is available on Amazon (click here). I try to stay busy in writing and research and have published in both academic and popular level journals and magazines.
My absolute greatest passion in ministry is to glorify God through Christ-centered preaching and teaching. I just love talking about Jesus. Come on a Sunday and you’ll see! I love working with the staff and leaders at Summerside, thinking through and praying about how to reach out with the message of hope that is the Gospel.
Favorite book of the Bible: Mark, and anything by Paul.
