Very few people like changes! In the past weeks, we have received the news of Deven’s change of ministry with mixed emotions. We rejoice with him as he has accepted the Lead Pastor role at Berean Baptist Church on the outskirts of Minneapolis, yet we are sad to see him leave! Whenever a change takes place, it raises a lot of questions. Here are some of the most common questions people are asking with the best answers we can give at this point.

Summerside Church Family,
It is with both excitement and a sense of sadness that I offer you this short update on my future at Summerside. On Sunday, July 10, Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN voted in favor of calling me to be their next Lead Pastor. We are still working through the timeline of immigration and the timing of transition out of my role here at Summerside.
I hope you know that I have loved every minute of my time serving at Summerside. I love you and I look forward to hearing about God continuing to work and move here in the future.

Pastor Deven’s Transition from Summerside
As many of you heard, or have just watched above, Pastor Deven and his family are in the process of "preaching a call" at another church, and if this goes through Pastor Deven will begin the transition away from ministry at Summerside. Above you will find a video of Pastor Deven sharing this news, and giving a look into his heart about Summerside, and what brought him and his family to this point.
We understand that this is a time filled with many feelings, emotions, and questions surrounding everything happening. We hope that the video will help with some of those questions, and below you will find some more questions/answers from Pastor Deven that we hope will also help fill in more of the story.
Please take some time to watch the video again, read through the information below, and pray through all of this. It is a lot of new information and change and we know and feel the weight of that right alongside you. If you still have any questions please contact the office by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call (519-680-3541) and we will journey through this with you and help in any way we can.
