It is natural to think that having a celebrity talking about their relationship with Jesus would make the message more appealing to people. The reality is that God isn’t impressed with what the world is impressed with, and he can accomplish his purposes without fame, fortune, or celebrity status. Paul makes this clear in his letter to the Corinthian church as they were struggling with this issue.
