You Can’t Borrow a Prayer Life – 2 Kings 18 &19

Leo KlusCall to Me: Conversations with GodLeave a Comment

There’s a moment in Scripture where a man named Hezekiah prays a prayer so raw, so desperate, and so God-centered that it shifts the course of a nation. But here’s the thing – prayers like that don’t come out of nowhere. They’re the overflow of choices made, convictions formed, and a heart trained to trust God when everything’s on the line. We’re still in our ongoing series about prayer, but for the next three weeks we’re stepping into a focused mini-series called Built for This: You Don’t Pray Like That by Accident. We’ll walk through 2 Kings 18–19, with insights from 2 Chronicles 29–32, not just to admire Hezekiah’s prayer, but to consider what needs to happen in us so we’re ready when the pressure hits. This week we begin with You Can’t Borrow a Prayer Life; because when the crisis comes, your prayers have to be real. And they have to be yours.
