This short passage highlights an unexpected stop Jesus makes, on the road to Jerusalem, to engage with a blind man named Bartimaeus and his faith-filled encounter with Jesus. It teaches us to recognize Jesus as the Savior, respond with persistent and bold faith despite obstacles, and follow Him with a transformed life of discipleship. Just as Bartimaeus cried out and was healed and transformed, we too can experience transformation when we trust in Jesus’ power and mercy.
