Making Sense of Jesus (When It Doesn’t Make Sense) – Mark 5:21-43

Sometimes, in seasons of desperation or pain, it seems like God’s activity in our situation doesn’t make sense. It creates a sense of disorientation and forces us to wrestle with how we trust God. In this passage, we meet two desperate people and get a front row seat to the way Jesus works his power and purposes in their lives. As we watch him work, we have an opportunity to strengthen our sense of trust and realize that just because our timetables for God doesn’t work like we want, it doesn’t mean that he is unfaithful or not working. Let’s pray that we have eyes to see and ears to hear what Jesus is saying to them and to us.
