After three chapters of action, Mark now shifts our attention to some parables of Jesus. Mark contains the fewest parables compared to the other gospel writers. Over the next two weeks, we are going to dig into them. This week, we are looking at the famous parable of the sower or, as I prefer to call it, the parable of the soils. There is no question that Jesus is doing a spiritual heart examination here if we have ears to hear it. Pray that the Lord will use this good word to stir up in you an eagerness to hear what he has to say about the fruitful Christian life.
