It’s easy to read Mark 1:9-13 as just a handful of verses and, then, breeze by two of the most significant events in Jesus’s life – the two events that establish his coronation as King and, as a result, encourage our hearts with pictures of why he is our hope, and why he is our defender. We will be looking at a part of the story in Matthew 4:3-11 to fully understand what Jesus endured – his determination and his victory over the enemy right at the beginning of his ministry.
