This week, we begin a short series all the way to Christmas Eve called, “Good News of Great Joy: Awe and Exultation in Advent”. Each message will take one of the four incredible songs in the early chapters of Luke leading up to Jesus’ birth. We start with Mary, and her song, traditionally referred to as the Magnificat. It encourages us to magnify God by focusing on His saving grace, awesome character, and sovereign rule. As we reflect on the truths about God in this song, we’re inspired to trust His plan, rejoice in His salvation, and live in awe of His unchanging greatness and eternal reign. That is good news of great joy.
