As Christians, we are called to walk by faith and not by sight. This means spending much of life in that place of tension existing between our experiences of the way life has gone, and our expectations of the way we think or wish life will go.
In Exodus 33 and 34, we find God confronting Moses in order to show him that these moments of tension are a necessary component of walking by faith. But that they serve a very important purpose in his plan to make us his royal priesthood, worshipping servants, and satisfied children.
