There are many different ways in which people can be in captivity in our world, and they need to be set free. The Gospel writers record events from the life of Jesus that help us understand how Jesus can, and wants, to set us free, even if it is something as extreme as being controlled by demons! They also record the positive and negative ways that people responded to Jesus’ offer of freedom. The choice of response is ours.
