Coming off the spiritual high of being with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration and seeing his Divine Glory, Peter, James and John follow Jesus back down into the valley to join the other disciples. It’s there where Jesus goes deep on what it really means to be a disciple – marked by serving others in love and humility. This starts a series of messages, leading to the cross, that continue to challenge the disciples, and us, on what true discipleship requires.
