Everyone Walks Away – Mark 14:27-52

Abandonment cuts deep. In Mark 14:27-52, Jesus walks this road as His closest friends desert Him, leaving Him to face betrayal, sorrow, and suffering alone. In agony, He prays, sweating drops of blood, pleading with the Father. Yet He surrenders, choosing the cross for us. His suffering was not just physical—it was much more. As Shepherd, Son, and Saviour, Jesus’ faithfulness secures for us a union with Him that can never be taken away. As we walk with him through this passage, we can grasp how costly His love truly is. And in seeing that cost, our love for Him is renewed.
