Parenting and family life are tender ground. Some of us come encouraged, some exhausted, some with regret, and some still carrying the weight of the homes we grew up in. In Colossians 3:20-21, Paul gives a brief but powerful word to children and parents – calling children to obey in the Lord and parents to shepherd without crushing their children’s hearts. Drawing from Ephesians 6:1-4, we’ll see how Christ speaks to the whole home with truth, grace, correction and hope for families who need him at the center.
