Mark was born and raised on the shores of Lake Huron in the Sarnia area. At the age of 22, he met his wife Sherry and now after 17 years of marriage have two boys, 12 and 14. They reside in the village of Dorchester where they own a small accounting firm and are actively involved in community organizations that include hockey, soccer and their children’s schools.
Mark attended the University of Windsor, and during his fourth year he recognized God working in his life and the need for a Savior and through a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven committed his life to the Lord. In 2010, Mark and Sherry started attending Summerside Community Church and discovered their home among many brothers and sisters that cared for them in a way only possible through the love of Jesus.
Mark has served in children’s ministry, men’s ministry, welcome team, community groups and finance. He has also assisted in running Band of Brothers boot camps fighting to rescue men’s hearts. In moments of strength and weakness, Mark reminds himself “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
