We’re beginning a new sermon series through the book of James, one of the most practical and direct books in the New Testament. James writes to people trying to follow Jesus in the middle of real life, with all of its challenges, pressures, ups and downs – and he keeps asking the kind of questions that move faith off the page and into the way we actually live. But before we get to any of that, we need to meet the man behind the letter. This week, James 1:1 gives us one name, one sentence, and one incredible introduction to a man from whose voice we all need to hear.
