You probably know this parable. A son blows up his life, hits bottom, comes home, and gets welcomed by a father who never stopped loving him. That’s the prodigal son. Famous story. Familiar ending. Except Jesus said there were two sons. One ran as far from home as he could. The other never left. One looked lost. The other looked like he had everything together. Jesus tells this story to expose both kinds of distance from God, but also to show us something even better: the kind of Father who moves toward both. This Sunday, we’ll look again at a story we think we know and see just how far the love and grace of God are willing to go.
Two Ways to be Lost – Luke 15:11-32
